This landscape was carefully designed to make this new home feel as though it had always belonged to the land. Using natural elements and native plant materials, the design nestles the residence seamlessly into its surroundings. A hand-stacked stone wall defines and frames the front court, grounding the architecture in timeless craftsmanship. The driveway, softened with layers of crushed stone, creates a gentle and almost magical arrival experience. At the edges, large Lake Superior flagging stones anchor outdoor living areas into the terrain, with creeping thyme planted between the joints to blur the line between hardscape and nature. Together, these details establish a setting that feels authentic, enduring, and deeply rooted in place.
